The Library of Congress celebrated the musical legacy of the Seeger Family during a two-day program, sponsored by the American Folklife Center, titled "How Can I Keep from Singing? A Seeger Family Tribute."
Panelists were Bill Ivey, Vanderbilt University, who discussed "Theorizing Folk and Country Music"; Robert Cantwell, University of North Carolina, who spoke on "The Politics of Pete"; and Millie Rahn, independent folklorist, "The 'It Changed My Life' Syndrome: The Folk Revival."
Following the panel discussion were closing remarks and a sing-along with Pete Seeger.
