Speaker Biography: Maggie Stiefvater is a writer, artist and musician and the New York Times best-selling author of "Shiver," praised by Publishers Weekly in a starred review as "a lyrical tale." There are more than 1.7 million copies of the Shiver trilogy in print. Since publication, rights to more than 36 foreign editions of "Shiver" have been licensed. "Linger," the second book in the Shiver trilogy, debuted at No. 1 on the New York Times best-seller list. "The Scorpio Races" was named to best-of-2011 lists by Publishers Weekly, School Library Journal, The Horn Book and Kirkus Reviews. Stiefvater has just published "The Raven Boys."
