Speaker Biography: Like her sister, Mary Pope Osborne, Natalie Pope Boyce grew up on Army posts all over the world. Boyce is the author of more than 50 acclaimed books for children. She has also worked as a children's librarian and as a teacher of English as a Second Language. Her most recent work is "Magic Tree House Fact Tracker No. 26: Pandas and Other Endangered Species: A Nonfiction Companion to Magic Tree House No. 48."
Speaker Biography: While growing up in a military family, Mary Pope Osborne lived in Oklahoma, Austria, Florida and four different Army posts in Virginia and North Carolina. After seeing a good portion of the world and working as a window dresser in Carmel, Calif., a medical assistant in Monterey, Calif., a Russian travel consultant in Washington, D.C., getting married and working as a waitress in Greenwich Village, "out of the blue" she began writing. She has since written more than 100 books, including "Magic Tree House No. 48: A Perfect Time for Pandas."
