Earth Decade Film Festival, April 21 & 22

The Science and Technology Division of the Library of Congress will present a free film festival on environmental topics from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on April 21 and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on April 22 (Earth Day 1993).

All films will be shown in the Mary Pickford Theater, third floor, James Madison Memorial Building, 101 Independence Ave., SE. No tickets are required. The schedule follows:

Wednesday, April 21

11 a.m. "Rachael Carson's Silent Spring"
12 noon "Future Talk" with Bill Moyers
1 p.m. "Politics, People and Pollution"
2 p.m. "Battle for the Great Plains"
3 p.m. "Great Lakes, Bitter Legacy"
4 p.m. "Mysterious Elephants of the Congo"

Thursday, April 22

1 p.m. "The Environmental Tourist"
2 p.m. "Wildfire"
3 p.m. "Can Tropical Rainforests Be Saved?"
