Media Advisory: Opening of Library of Congress Exhibition Delayed

WHAT: The public opening of "In the Beginning Was the Word: The Russian Church and Native Alaskan Cultures," an exhibition based on the archives of the Alaska Russian Church at the Library of Congress, has been changed from Sept. 23 to Oct. 7.

WHEN: The exhibition will open to the public on Friday, Oct. 7 and will be on view through Dec. 31, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, and from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday. The Library of Congress is closed on Sunday.

WHERE: It will be on display in the Madison Foyer of the James Madison Memorial Building of the Library of Congress, 101 Independence Ave. SE.
