Media Advisory: Visit of Her Majesty The Queen of the Netherlands and His Royal Highness Prince Claus of the Netherlands to the Library Congress

WHAT: Visit of Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness Prince Claus of the Netherlands to the Library of Congress.

WHERE: They will be greeted in the Great Hall of the Thomas Jefferson Building of the Library of Congress, 10 First St. S.E. by the Librarian of Congress, James H. Billington, and Mrs. Billington.

WHEN: Weds., Nov. 8, 10 to 11:30 a.m.

PHOTO OPS: There will be two photo ops with the royal guests: one in the Great Hall for the arrival, and another, about an hour later, when a presentation is made to them. After the royal guests have passed through the area where they will view some of the Library's treasures, and following the presentation, press will be able to photograph some of the items and talk with Library curators.

MEDIA: American and other non-Dutch press must have White House press credentials and must form appropriate pools because of limited space. Press will be allowed only in the two areas mentioned above at the same time as the royal guests.
