Building Opening Status

The Library of Congress expects to announce by 6 a.m. on Tuesday, October 23 when its Capitol Hill buildings will be open. The decision is contingent upon the results of the tests of its air supply systems. As soon as those results are received and verified, the Library will announce the reopening time. For updated information, the public should call the Library's recorded message at (202) 707-5000 or log on to www.loc.gov.
