Junior Fellows Summer Internships Available at the Library of Congress
The Junior Fellows Program at the Library of Congress is seeking college juniors for two- to three-month summer internships with varying start and end dates. The application deadline is Sunday, May 15.
The fellows will work in various divisions of the Library, including Manuscript; Motion Picture, Broadcasting and Recorded Sound; Prints and Photographs and the American Folklife Center. They will help organize and document archival collections, produce finding aids and bibliographic records, prepare materials for preservation and digitize historical collections.
The selected interns will receive a taxable stipend of $300 per week. Interns, however, are temporary employees of the Library and are not eligible for federal employee benefits and privileges.
For details on eligibility and the application process, visit http://www.loc.gov/hr/employment/index.php?action=cMain.showFellowships.
The Library is an equal opportunity employer. Women, minorities and persons with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply.
The Junior Fellows Program was founded in 1991 with a gift from a member of the Madison Council, the Library’s private sector advisory group.
