Library of Congress Co-Sponsors Seminar Oct. 27-30 in Illinois on History of Libraries
WHO: More than 50 historians who specialize in book, library and cultural history.
WHAT: "Libraries in Times of War, Revolution and Social Change," a three-day seminar about the history of libraries in times of war and social change, from 12th century China through World Wars I and II to contemporary Iran and Iraq. The Library History Roundtable of the American Library Association, the Center for the Book in the Library of Congress and other organizations are sponsoring the seminar.
