Saraiki literary titles from D.I. Khan
Although the office regularly collects Saraiki literary titles, it did not have a good representation of Saraiki language and literature from D.I. Khan located in largely Pushto speaking area. The Sairaiki of this region has been influenced of Pasthto making it linguistically distinct. The Office collected which will ensure this unique language is represented on the shelves of research libraries in the U.S.
Esperanto translations from Urdu
Acting on a lead from Harvard University, our Acquisitions Librarians tracked down the “Pakistan Esperanto Association.” Staff then traveled to Murree to acquire a dictionary and other Islamic materials that had been translated from Urdu to Esperanto.
