Structural Metadata Dictionary for LC Repository Digital Objects

This section lists the structural metadata attributes associated with different types of digital objects; initially photographs, text document images, and SGML encoded text documents. Attributes for recorded sound and motion video digital objects will be added as they are defined.

The lists in this section identify the structural attributes of digital objects and, where appropriate, indicate subordinate attributes. One or more subordinate attributes may comprise an attribute. For example, date of last revision and time of last revision together form the date/time stamp indicating when an object was last revised.
