Other decisions:
Crimes against humanity, Cambodian
The meeting did not approve establishing this heading to cover what occurred in Cambodia in the 1970s. Instead, a proposal was added to the list to authorize geographic subdivision of the heading Crimes against humanity, allowing Crimes against humanity--Cambodia to be assigned.
Earth Science Museum (Provo, Utah)
The meeting did not approve establishing a subject heading for the Brigham Young University Earth Science Museum because museums are established as corporate body name headings according to instruction sheet H 405 in the Subject Cataloging Manual: Subject Headings. If the building that houses the museum does not have its own distinctive name, the name heading is used to represent both the museum as a corporate body and the building that it occupies.
Tongatapu Group (Tonga)
The meeting did not approve establishing a subject heading for this island group. The nation of Tonga consists of 169 islands and islets spread over five groups of islands, including Tongatapu, which constitute its first-order administrative divisions. When a geographic feature, such as an island group, is equivalent to a jurisdiction, a geographic name heading is established. That heading is then used to represent both the jurisdiction and the group of islands. A name heading should be established for Tongatapu (Tonga).
Browns Island (N.Z.)
LC has agreed that the New Zealand Geographic Placenames Database will be regarded as the authority for New Zealand place names. This proposal was submitted in the form "Motu Korea (N.Z.)" because that is the BGN standard name given in GEOnet. The proposal was revised to the name authorized by New Zealand Geographic Placenames Database: Browns Island (N.Z.) with UFs Motu Korea (N.Z.) and Motukorea (N.Z.).
