Cokie Roberts is a senior news analyst for National Public Radio, where she was the congressional correspondent for more than 10 years. She is also a political commentator for ABC News, and has covered politics, Congress and public policy for World News Tonight and other ABC News broadcasts. She co-anchored ABC’s “This Week” program with Sam Donaldson from 1996 to 2002. Her many awards include the Edward R. Murrow Award, the Everett McKinley Dirksen Award for coverage of Congress and an Emmy in 1991 for her work on the ABC News special, “Who is Ross Perot?” She is the author of the national bestseller “We Are Our Mother's Daughters,” as well as “Founding Mothers: The Women Who Raised Our Nation.” She writes a weekly column with her husband, Steven, and is the recipient of 15 honorary degrees.
