|| About the New Delhi Office ||
The Library of Congress Office, New Delhi,
is one of six overseas offices administered
by the Overseas Operations Division of the Library. These offices acquire,
catalog, preserve, and distribute library and research materials from
countries where such materials are essentially unavailable through conventional
acquisitions methods.

|| Cooperative Acquisitions Program ||
The New Delhi Office acquires library materials for the Library
of Congress and the South Asia Cooperative Acquisitions Program (SACAP) from Bangladesh, Bhutan, India,
the Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka, and Tibetan titles available in several
South Asian countries. The Office also maintains a restricted web site to
disseminate bibliographic and other information of interest to libraries
participating in the program.

|| Exchange and Gift Program ||
The Exchange and Gift program has been an integral facet of the Delhi Office's acquisitions operations since the opening of the Office in 1962. Through this program the Office acquires materials that would otherwise not be available.

|| South Asian Recordings ||
The South Asian Literary Recordings Project (SALRP) is a digital collection of literary recordings by leading writers from South Asia with photographs and biographic data.
|| Microfilm Preservation ||
The New Delhi Office preserves in microformat a large
number of publications acquired by the Library's overseas offices.
