The Library of Congress Office, Nairobi, Kenya, is one of six overseas offices administered by the Acquisitions & Bibliographic Access Directorate of the Library. These offices acquire, catalog, preserve, and distribute library and research materials from countries where such materials are essentially unavailable through conventional acquisitions methods.

The Cooperative Acquisitions Program in Nairobi was initiated in 1992. The goal of the program is to provide scholarly journals, newspapers, magazines, and monographs to participating institutions.
