Newspaper Microfilm from Fundação Biblioteca Nacional
For many years, the FBN and the Library of Congress Rio Office have jointly produced microfilm copies of important Brazilian newspapers. LC provides the raw film stock and FBN films the newspapers. Often there are delays in filming because FBN has missing issues and their policy is not to film until they've made every attempt to complete the holdings. FBN holds the master negative and provides a positive use copy to LC, housed in the SER division in Washington.
