We are planning to include our CIP Programme
also other type of materials, such as Internet resources and serials. Not all
Estonian ISBN/ISMN-publishers are participating in the CIP programme yet,
therefore the increase of the number of publishers participating in the
programme is the key task of the Estonian ISBN Agency. To arouse the interest
of the publishers to join with the CIP programme, the compiling of the
Books-in-Print catalogue (the development of which is under discussion
currently) is considered to be essential. The establishment of BIP will
support the structural development of the national book market and promote
cooperation between publishers, the Estonian ISBN Agency and Estonian
libraries. |
