The PCC Standing Committee on Training (SCT) RDA Training Materials Task Group was convened in January 2012 under the chairmanship of Larisa Walsh, University of Chicago. The task group was charged to collect existing RDA training materials to be used for PCC training. With the permission of the creators, the collected materials were reviewed for accuracy and compliance with PCC policies, thereby designating a set of "PCC Approved" RDA training documentation.
This page contains all of the collected materials, organized in six broad categories identified by the task group.
The task group completed its charge admirably, and with impressive results. There is a wealth of valuable RDA training materials collected on this page, in six broad categories:
- GENERAL DOCUMENTATION
- THEORETICAL FOUNDATIONS (Including FRBR and FRAD)
- INTRODUCTION TO RDA TOOLKIT
- RDA FOR GENERAL CATALOGING
- RDA FOR SPECIAL FORMATS
- RDA AND AUTHORITY RECORDS
The materials have been reviewed for accuracy and compliance to PCC policies. Due to the constantly changing environment during the PCC RDA transition, some of the materials may reflect PCC policies that were in place at the time the materials were created, but that may have changed since that time. Please note the date of creation that has been included with each of the resources below.
The posted RDA training documentation is considered "PCC-Approved," but is not required PCC training documentation.
