The Library of Congress believes that many of the telephone directories in this collection are in the public domain or have no known copyright restrictions and are free to use and reuse. For example, all white pages are in the public domain, as are any pre-1964 yellow pages that were not registered and renewed for copyright. The Library presents additional materials for educational and research purposes pursuant to fair use under United States copyright law.
