The Vietnamese Elections Web Archive covers elections in Vietnam and currently has archived sites for the 2011 parliamentary and presidential elections.

Parliament, also known as the National Assembly (Quốc Hội), is made up of members elected by constituencies to five-year terms. The National Assembly members then choose the president. The president, in turn, appoints the prime minister who proposes cabinet members who need to be confirmed by the National Assembly and appointed by the president. In this single-party political system, the candidates from the ruling Communist Party make up the majority of National Assembly members, but there is room for participation of non-party members who need to be vetted by the government. In the 2011 elections, a few candidates who ran as independents were elected.

This web archive includes candidate, government, NGO and news media websites.

Staff from the Library of Congress Jakarta Office and the Asian Division in Washington, D.C. selected the websites and reviewed the archived results.
