Rodney Scott is a co-founder of Rodney Scott’s Whole Hog BBQ, a restaurant with two locations operating in Charleston, South Carolina and Birmingham, Alabama. For his culinary skills, Scott has received recognition from The Washington Post, NPR and the Los Angeles Times. He is the recipient of the 2018 James Beard Award for Outstanding Chef Southeast and he was inducted into the Barbecue Hall of Fame in 2021. His debut cookbook, “Rodney Scott's World of BBQ: Every Day Is a Good Day” (Clarkson Potter), reveals the classic barbecue recipes that made his restaurant a success, while also offering an optimistic outlook on heritage and hard work.
