
Janet Wallach is the author of 10 books, including “Desert Queen: The Extraordinary Life of Gertrude Bell,” which has been translated into 12 languages. Her work has appeared in The Washington Post Magazine, Smithsonian Magazine and other periodicals. She has received a Woodrow Wilson fellowship and taught at many colleges and universities. Wallach’s new book, “Flirting with Danger: The Mysterious Life of Marguerite Harrison, Socialite Spy,” will be featured at the 2023 National Book Festival.
