Regina G. Barber is a co-host and reporter for the National Public Radio (NPR) science podcast, “Short Wave.” She also contributes reporting to the NPR science desk. Barber completed her doctorate in physics at Washington State University with a focus in astrophysics, studying globular cluster systems with Hubble Space Telescope images. Before working at NPR, she taught physics, astronomy and science communication at Western Washington University (WWU), where she was also WWU's first STEM inclusion and outreach specialist.
