No-Hitter Cleats

In 1882 Waldo Claflin produced the first baseball footwear that incorporated cleats into the shoes, rather than as a metal plate attachment. Cincinnati Reds pitcher Homer Bailey wore these Adidas shoes when he threw his second no-hitter on July 2, 2013. The scuffed toe on Bailey’s right shoe is the result of dragging his back foot when throwing.
