Carlos Beltrán

Early in his career, Carlos Beltrán hoped to last ten or fifteen years in the big leagues, “but more important to me is winning.” With nineteen seasons under his belt—like the one that used to go around this jersey—the nine-time All-Star outfielder returned to Houston in 2017 to contribute as a designated hitter. His purpose remained the same: “I want to do well, but I just want the team to win.” They did—winning the World Series that year.
