Whitey’s Chart of Many Colors

Every manager has his own system for dealing with information, some more artistic than others. St. Louis Cardinals manager Whitey Herzog produced these rainbow spray charts to track the performance of his pitchers (with a different color for each) against a specific batter and to plan defensive configurations based on each hitter’s tendencies. This chart for Los Angeles Dodger Eddie Murray contains notes on the right for games against L.A. in the 1989 and 1990 seasons.
