Everyday Life Before 9-11

Cartoonist, fine artist, and longtime contributor to World War 3 Illustrated, James Romberger was part of a community of artists, writers, and publishers who responded with creative urgency to the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Here he gives voice to imagined thoughts, utterances, and conversations of people living everyday lives in New York just days before the shattering events. Amid an aerial cityscape, he evokes a spectrum of human conditions, ranging from mundane to despairing to affirmative.
