Identity Stories

Writer and illustrator Raina Telgemeier has won impressive acclaim and following for graphic narratives Smile and Sisters based on her family life. Among her other graphic novels and comics that have also received critical praise are four Baby Sitters Club titles, which she adapted and illustrated. In this sequence, Telgemeier portrays with sensitivity the main character Claudia and family members as they anxiously await news on the condition of the grandmother who has suffered a stroke.
