Cold War Adventurer—Steve Canyon

Steve Canyon, a Cold War adventure comic strip created by Milton Caniff, featured an aviator toughened by his World War II experience and who willingly put himself in danger as he accepted assignments all over the globe. Recurring character Holly Hall, the daughter of a U.S. Foreign Service Officer, through her misdeeds inadvertently damages international relations across the world, including this occurrence in Latin America. A master raconteur as well as a brilliant artist, Caniff has been remembered as the “Rembrandt of the comics.”
