Exhibition Comic Art: 120 Years of Panels and Pages

Webcomics

Since the 1980s and 1990s artists have been publishing comic works on computers and via the internet. The Library of Congress began collecting webcomics in 2011 through the Small Press Expo Comic and Comic Art Web Archive and expanded the collection in 2014 with the Webcomics Web Archive. These collections include long-running well-known webcomics such as XKCD, Dinosaur Comics, and Penny Arcade, as well as award winning webcomics such as Hark! A Vagrant!, Super Mutant Magic Academy, and O Human Star.
