Early Recyclist

Rosa Parks recycled assorted pieces of papers, aluminum foil, jars, and tea bags to save money. She wrote these manuscript notes on the back of a pharmacy bag. The final draft appears in her book Quiet Strength (1994). “We need to continue the struggle to realize our goal of equality. The dream of which Dr. King spoke—one that should be held by all—has yet to be realized. So the movement continues.”
