Mount Zion African Methodist Episcopal Church

Rosa’s family life revolved around Mount Zion African Methodist Episcopal Church in Pine Level, Alabama, where her father’s brother-in-law Reverend Julius I. Dominick was the pastor. Sunday church service was followed by daily prayers and devotional readings from the Bible. She developed a strong faith that undergirded her activism and assured triumph over adversity, which prepared her for the trials ahead.
