Letter from Johnny Carson to Bob Hope

Transcription

December 3, 1997

Dear Bob,

I've been meaning to write this letter for a long time. I was watching a retrospective of your career on the movie channel recently and was reminded again of what a remarkable performer you are. The Road pictures with Bing are still classics—a great blend of physical and hip comedy. But your work in “The Seven Little Foys” and Beau James [sic] really demonstrate the depth of your talent. What a pleasure to watch you perform.

I've learned a lot from you. My best to you and Dolores for the holidays.
