Offers to provide training in OCLC systems and products in the core service areas in standard OCLC/Network agreements, including OCLC communications and access methods; searching the OCLC WorldCat database, authority files, reference databases, and other files; performing copy cataloging, original cataloging, and interlibrary loan via the system; and administrating OCLC services such as Firstsearch. Training classes will refer to current OCLC standards and documentation, use current OCLC software, and incorporate hands-on practice in live OCLC systems whenever possible. Training will be conducted in the Nylink facilities, which are fully equiped to access the OCLC systems. Nylink will provide on-site training at member library locations or other locations as deemed appropriate for the training requested. Travel and per diem will be at approved government rates. Please contact the listed Nylink representative for further information regarding class schedules and class space availability. Training charges at the Nylink facility will be $150 per student per class. Onsite training charges at member facilities will be $350 per class plus travel and expenses.
