Collection Description (CRHP): This collection has a wealth of resources related to the civil rights movement and is the repository for the raw footage used for the American Experience documentary series and other documentaries, including "Adam Clayton Powell," "Citizen King," and "Kennedy vs. Wallace: A Crisis Up Close." It also includes local news footage of the civil rights movement and busing controversy in Boston. It was compiled for the American Archive pilot project. In addition, this collection also encompasses all the films of Stanley Nelson that deal with the civil rights movement.
Collection Description (Extant): The WGBH Media Library and Archives provides 'online access to unique and historically important content produced by the public television and radio station WGBH. The ever-expanding site contains video, audio, images, searchable transcripts, and resource management tools, all of which are available for individual and classroom learning.'
