Collection Description (CRHP): This collection includes the 2007 honors senior thesis that American University student Jason R. Eisen wrote and that was supervised by Julian Bond. The collection includes the 18-20 annotated and edited oral history transcripts used for the thesis. The transcripts were done for Julian Bond's class, Oral Histories of the 1960s Civil Rights Movement, at American University. The focus of the thesis and the transcripts are the ordinary citizens who made up the movement. Well-known leaders are not profiled but rather the ordinary people who did extraordinary things.
