Collection Description (CRHP): This subseries, 16.1.13, includes handwritten transcripts and interview notes of interviews conducted by James Durrett and Dr. Hare on the institutional history of UAB. In this collection, Alan Dimick discusses care provided to victims of the 16th Street Baptist Church bombing. He also discusses the care of James Reed, victim of Klan violence in Selma. Interviewees also discuss medical issues related to segregation, such as a decline in the overall quality of health services.
