Collection Description (CRHP): Thelma Duggin discusses her relationship with other prominent African Americans in the White House, Executive Order 12320, and the process of Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday becoming a federal holiday.

Collection Description (Extant): Untranscribed audio recordings of interviews with departing White House staff, conducted by the staff of the White House Office of Records Management and National Archives staff detailed to the White House. The date at end of description is when the interview was conducted. The audio quality of the recordings varies greatly.
