Collection Description (CRHP): A number of interviews discuss race discrimination and navigating college life as an African American. Topics include the Campus Interracial Club, the role of the black church, civil rights demonstrations (including picketing, sit-ins, and other efforts to integrate student housing and public accommodations in Oxford, OH), race relations, segregation in higher education, fraternal organizations, and the experiences of military personnel.

Collection Description (Extant): Coordinated by the University Archives, Miami Stories invites groups of people with common experiences, current and former students, faculty, and staff--as well as friends of University, to offer recollections of their Miami years and to hear reminiscences of those who shared them. A University Bicentennial Legacy Project that began in 2005, Miami Stories are recorded and stored in digital video formats so that future generations may enjoy and study them, and scholars may have ready access to a variety of perspectives on the past.
