Collection Description (Extant): Willie Griffin produced a master thesis entitled: "An Indigenous Civil Rights Movement: Charlotte, North Carolina, 1940-1963," at Morgan State University. He interviewed 16 African Americans, most were civil rights activist, who had first hand knowledge about the city's civil rights struggle.
