Collection Description (Extant): The critically acclaimed African American video resources in this collection are themselves testimony to the richness, diversity, dynamism, and universality of the African American experience. Their insights into the social forces and racialized structures, as well as the people, cultures and events, which have shaped the U.S. from slavery to the present are unmatched, providing a rich context for understanding and confronting the structural racism as well as the prejudices that haunt us still.
