Repository description (extant): Manuscripts, Archives, and Special Collections (MASC) is a unit in Washington State University's Holland and Terrell Library that is primarily responsible for acquiring, administering, and preserving millions of non-circulating items, many of which are rare and unique. Collections consist of records and documents of historical value, including manuscripts, photographs, audio and video tapes, films, printed and published materials (books, maps, broadsides, etc.). The university archives, which includes Washington State University theses and dissertations, serves as the collective memory of the institution.
