Repository description (CRHP): In addition to the Maria Rogers Oral History Program, the Boulder Public Library Carnegie Library also holds a collection of slides (call no. 603-1 Slide) taken on 25 March 1965. They document the trip taken by Colorado citizens who chartered a plane in order to participate in the demonstration following the historic civil rights march from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama. There are 138 slides; 63 of the best images are numbered and described. Also included is a passenger manifest listing the forty-four participants from Boulder, Broomfield, Erie, and Nederland. Repository description (extant): The Carnegie Branch Library for Local History archive collects and preserves our community’s memory for future generations of researchers. Written, visual and audible materials created by and about Boulder-area residents are housed in our documents room, and are available to the public and scholars for research.
