About this Item

Title

  • A rube couple at a county fair

Summary

  • "The subject is a county fair. Most of the film consists of scenes of the various concessions and exhibits of trained horses, sulky races, and prize animals. Approximately half way through the film, two actors are brought into the picture. They are made up to appear as country rubes. The camera pans to show that the man wants to see a group of seminude women dance, but his wife, brandishing a cane, leads him off to the preserves counter"--Early motion pictures.
