  • -  明許論撰。字廷議，靈寶人。嘉靖五年進士，授順德推官，入為兵部主事，改禮部。好談兵。幼從父歷邊境，盡知阨塞險易，因著九邊圖論上之；帝喜，頒邊臣議行，自是以知兵聞。見明史卷一百八十六本傳。嗣後邊事日亟，其書遂大行於世，嘉萬以來，所有著述遂鮮有不道及是書者矣。是書明史藝文志作三卷，萬卷堂書目不著卷數，且誤撰人為謝少南，然注明二冊，則當亦是三卷本。蓋三卷本為嘉靖間原刻，此則萬曆間何鏜輯刻修攘通考零本也，讀書敏求記作一卷，疑亦為此本。四庫存目卷七十五載修攘通考四卷，提要云：「此編以??蘇軾地理指掌圖與許論九邊圖等三書，合而刊之，別立此名，更無一字之論者。」按館臣所據為殘本，北平圖書館藏修攘通考全書，凡四種，六卷。謝少南(序)嘉靖十七年(1538)，馬從謙(後序)嘉靖十七年(1538)，宋宜(跋)嘉靖十七年(1538)，劉希簡(書後)嘉靖十七年(1538).
