Summary

  • Twelve-frame comic strip. Arab and Bull lack funds to pay for the Bita Pi dinner. Bull comes up with the idea of pawning Margy's coat to pay for all of them to eat. Arab takes Margy's coat and goes into the pawn shop. After he has collected his money, the owner yells "Hey! Wait!" Thinking that he is in trouble, Arab sprints off, and is followed not only by the pawnshop owner, but the coach of the track team. The shop owner has followed him to return Margy's bag, and the track team coach signs him up for the team. Arab apologizes for being so long in returning to Margy, but she kisses him when she discovers that he has been signed up for the track team.

All images can be viewed at a large size when you are in any reading room at the Library of Congress.
