- - The second of two versions published in Photoplay, the cartoon features motion picture actress Pearl White (1889-1938) in one of several scenes entitled "The Seven Stages of Fox." Pearl White became famous as the star of the movie serial, The Perils of Pauline (1914). Following this success, she assumed the leading role in several other serials, before joining the Fox Film Corporation in 1919. The first version was published in Photoplay in June, 1921.
