Summary

  • Dictator and German Nazi leader Adolf Hitler instructs a young Nazi soldier wearing blinders, to recognize and destroy the enemy. Hands of another figure not fully seen in the cartoon, push the soldier, holding a bayonet, towards a larger than life sized poster of a ferocious-looking Neville Chamberlain. Chamberlain, the former British Prime Minister, is outfitted with his trademark top hat and umbrella, as well as an assortment of grizzly weapons labeled "Cannibalism" and "Murder," which are held in a belt at his waist. Behind the poster that reads "Destroy all Germans," stands a nervous Neville Chamberlain, dressed in a top hat, coat, and gloves, and holding an umbrella and a sign reading, "Destroy Hitlerism (only)." A duck stands beside him.

All images can be viewed at a large size when you are in any reading room at the Library of Congress. In some cases, only thumbnail (small) images are available when you are outside the Library of Congress because the item is rights restricted or has not been evaluated for rights restrictions.
