- - This book was compiled and recorded in the catalogue of 'Tian yi ge' as 'Du fu zou shu' with sixteen volumes. The book of Ming's reports and 'bie ji' (additional anthology) is important materials for research concerning Mongolia. The memorials of 'Zhong zhen ji que jiang ling shu' have great influence on the research of diversity of race in Muslim, Sala, Mongolia, Tibetan and Han people in the Gansu and Ningxia Area in sixteenth century, and can be regarded as an important supplement to the 'Ming shi lu' in many aspects. 'Lu zhong lin bian qing bing fang yu shu' recorded the situations and events of West Mongolia (Wala) in the 1530s' and are important historical material for studying the relationships among Ming Dynasty and Wala, Tibetan tribes in Qing Hai Area and Muslim nationality in the Tulufan Area.
- - 明劉天和撰。天和字養和，麻城人。正德三年進士。授南京禮部主事。嘉靖初掙山西提學副使，以右????口都御史，督甘肅屯政，改撫陝西，進右副都御史。十五年，改兵部右侍郎，總制三邊軍務，進左都御史，吉囊犯河西，天和禦口之，進兵部尚書。事蹟具明史卷二百本傳。是書書題，若作制府奏議，則題「欽差總制陝西三邊運務兵部左侍郎兼都察院右副都御史」;若作督府奏議，則題：「欽差總督陝西三邊軍務兵部尚書兼都察院左都御史」，蓋彙前後疏奏為一編，於撫陝時稱制府;總制三邊時稱督府也。又分類編次，卷一至五為舉劾類，六至八為邊備類，九至十六為邊功類，忽題制府，忽題督府，殊欠一律。然為名實相符，不得不爾。天一閤書目作督撫奏疏十六卷。此本無序跋，亦無總目.
