  • -  《紫釵記》萬曆刻本原已極難得,此本卷前有吳梅題於辛亥(1911)的跋語,洵為珍貴。卷末長跋是研究吳梅曲學史觀的重要參考資料. Woodblock print, published ca. 1573-1620; a postscript by Wu Mei is dated 1911 and placed in the front of this book; another, at the end, puts forward Wu Mei's theory on drama.
  • -  原題:「臨川湯義仍撰,吳興臧晉叔訂」,此即世所稱臧改四夢本也。大英博物院所藏四夢為佳,總題:「玉茗新詞四種,雕蟲館校定本」,版心記寫刻工姓名,此本無之,殆是後印。鈔補葉上鈐「小玲瓏山館珍藏圖記」,蓋二百餘年前傳本已不多,故馬氏珍惜若是。插圖其精,每折為圖一,則全本應有圖三十六幅,此僅二十八,又顛倒其次第,書賈知其有佚,故意亂之,冀圖掩飾也。眉欄校語,即出晉叔手。倫敦藏本有萬曆四十六年晉叔自序,此本已殘,述删訂經過頗詳。此本有吳梅識語,亦述此事。茲迻錄於後:臨川紫釵穠麗已極而宮調音均時多乖舛要其才大不屑拘拘繩尺所謂不顧捩盡天下人嗓子也懋循斟酌之線索脈絡較有端倪葉〓庭譏其為孟浪漢未免太過辛亥十二月長洲吳梅識晉叔删改四夢曲余久未得見納書楹譏為孟浪漢以為無足取者耳及得此本乃知不然臨川宮調舛誤音均乖方不知凡幾牡丹柯邯鄲有鈕雷諸子為之訂譜而未能盡善晉叔取四種而盡酌之則案頭場上皆稱便利惟喜掩人美不無小疵究其所詣亦足並轡奉常褱庭所以譏誚者以晉叔所改就音律以定文褱庭製譜則就文以定律改過曲為集曲變引子作正曲褱庭亦未能自解也要皆為臨川功臣可斷言者辛亥季冬老瞿吳梅識人天大夢寄詞章一曲氍毹淚萬行身後是非誰管得吳興晉叔沈吳江半山詩法超流俗玉茗詞華邁古賢十載茂陵聽風雨而今低首兩臨川老臞。臧懋循(序).
